The Farm Carbon Toolkit (FCT) is a not-for-profit organisation (Community Interest Company, registration number 07220963) set up by Adam Twine and Chris Walford in April 2010. It currently has six vounteer directors and one employee.
There is no membership and although FCT is principally aimed at farmers and growers, anyone is welcome to sign-up and receive free newsletters and other information periodically.
FCT runs on a small budget and has significant voluntary time and energy put in by farmers and growers around the country.
We have been fortunate to receive funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation to be able to reach out to more farmers and growers around two key themes, creating a demonstration farm network and the soil carbon project. The funding from these two projects will allow us to widen our impact, grow our network and achieve more on the ground action!
If you would like to get involved or support FCT in anyway – we would be pleased to hear from you.
Alongside FCT, we have set up Farm Carbon Consultancy as a limited company (company number 11381925) to provide consultancy and training for farmers and growers, food businesses and organisations. It recently won nearly £20,000 of funding from Agri-tech Corrnwall to redevlop the Farm Carbon Calculator. Farm Carbon Consultancy works in conjunction with FCT and any profits made go to supporting the charitable work of FCT.
